La Trampa

It is the culmination of our constant search for excellence in interpreting our terroir, achieving a great cool climate wine.

The “La Trampa” sector within our vineyard holds some very particular geological, geographic and climatic characteristics, all of which have been thoroughly studied by our winemakers.

A north-east facing hillside of sandy loam soils on its surface, gives way to deeper clay-like soil typical of Serie Lo Vásquez, of granitic origin and rich in iron. This affects the vines metabolism, allowing a slow maturation process and a great aromatic concentration on the fruit.

These controlled yield vineyards produce remarkable quality grapes of Syrah, Malbec and Pinot Noir, of rich and balanced acidity and firm tannins, which give birth to this unique and atypical assemblage, where the fruit is the main protagonist.

Tasting Notes 2017

In color deep violet, on the nose notes of blackberry, black olives and pepper from Syrah, complemented with hints of flowers and red fruits from Malbec and Pinot Noir. Fresh, medium-bodied, with perfectly resolved tannins and good length. Will reward careful cellaring.
