Casas del Bosque estate encompasses 245 hectares, located in the Casablanca Valley, of which 224 has are actually in production; divided in white varieties, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling, and the red ones Pinot Noir, Syrah and Merlot. The other 21 has corresponds to vineyards in growth, of the varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

A big strength of Casas del Bosque is that the vines are 100% pure, and each one is produced in our own vineyards.

The Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon come from the Rapel Valley and red premium wines come from the Maipo Valley.

Irrigation System

All our vineyards have a modern drip irrigation system, that supplies itself of water originated on subterranean wells. Each block, depending on the type, soil and climate, has a different treatment. For red wines, a water stress is carried out to get the smallest grains in order to obtain the highest high concentrations of flavors and aromas.

Vineyard Managment

The form weeds control is part of a strategy of Integrated Management, which pursues is to apply the smaller quantity of chemical products to the soil. The herbicides are applied only to the row of plantation, equivalent to the 30% of the vineyard, being the physical control the solution for the remaining surface.

Cluster Thinning

Based on producing high quality wines, cluster thinning done on 100% of our vineyards in order to maintain the desired yield for each variety, In this way, the best clusters are selected in order to meet our winemakers' demands.

Frost Control

In order to control frosts, we have wind generator machines, which work together with heaters, increasing the temperature in 2-3 degrees, and avoiding the problems created by frost. Additionally, we have heaters that as a group with the machines of wind control the frosts of greater intensity.
