The main rule of Casas del Bosque is to produce quality using the viticulture most updated technology and preserving, simultaneously, the good old traditions.
Casas del Bosque utilizes only certificated water carried through a modern dripping irrigation system to hydrate each plant individually.
The grapes are hand-harvest, selecting only the best bunches on a selection table. Then, a second careful selection is made on a vibrating table, assuring only high quiality grains in this quality control line.
All the tanks are made of Italian stainless steel and the barrels are made of fine grain French oak, selected according to our wines distinctive quality.
We have two horizontal presses of 15,000 and 8,000 kilos capacity each one. They are used to process our white varieties. For red wine varieties we use a vertical press which may be used in different low pressure degrees allowing a soft pressing process.
To assure low temperatures during white wine fermentations, a cooling equipment is used, which can produce hot water at the same time it is used to cool down, entailing a more efficient use of energy. Nowadays, Casas del Bosque has a cooling capacity of 200,000 kilo-calories.
Since the grapes enter into the press until they reach the tank, the entire reception process has been carefully designed to prevent the grape’s unnecessary intervention, is used thus allowing a natural process that grants the highest quality wines.
