The winemaking staff, who are permanently devoted to the Casas del Bosque project,
is formed by the following professionals:

Meinard Jan Bloem:
In September of 2016, arrived Meinard Jan Bloem, from The Netherlands, who studied
Agronomy in Chile and obtained a Master’s Degree in Viticulture and Enology from the
Research Institutes of Montpellier (France) and Geisenheim (Germany) before
returning to Chile in 2009. He has worked several years as both grape grower and
winemaker before joining our team in 2016, in charge of interpreting the conditions of
Casas del Bosque’s vineyard in Casablanca to ensure wines with consistent quality and
our unique style.

Patricio Aravena:
Has a degree in Agronomy and gained valuable experience working in vineyards and
cellars in Chile, Australia and California. He started at Casas del Bosque in 2015, in
charge of personnel, cellar procedures as well as overseeing external producers of

Grant Phelps:
In January 2010, the New Zealander, Grant Phelps came to work as winemaker and
chief of our vineyard. He holds a masters degree in Oenology and Viticulture; he has
worked in important vineyards in many different climates such as Australia, Argentina,
California, Hungary, New Zeland and Oregon. Currently he is our Consultant
Winemaker and Brand Ambassador of our vineyard, working as a team with Meinard
Jan Bloem.

Hernán Amenábar:
Winemaker consultant, where he has mainly supported in the field of sparkling wines
at Casas del Bosque since 2015. He has a huge experience, for more than 28 years in
the industry in viticulture and enology.

The four winemakers of Casas del Bosque are in charge of the consistency and high
quality of our wines. They have created a unique character for each of our wines,
which has led them to receive many awards over the years, both in Chile and in the
most demanding markets around the world.
